Italian Riviera Wedding in Lerici

Civil ceremny at Cinque Terre

An Italian Riviera Wedding in Lerici Full of Unique Touches

A hidden gem along the Italian Riviera, Lerici is a private seaside oasis with an intimate and luxurious atmosphere. As part of the Gulf of Poets, Lerici is historically known for attracting writers, artists, and royals who are chasing la dolce vita. Just an hour south of the extremely popular villages of Cinque Terre, you can find this lesser-known but equally beautiful town. For those looking for a romantic, off-the-beaten-path wedding destination, Lerici is all that and more.

The secret cove of Lerici

Hoping to embrace the Italian summer, Marie and Charlie, a cheerful couple from Ireland, reached out to Leoeventi and shared their dream of hosting their wedding by the water. After discovering the secret cove of Lerici, Marie and Charlie were immediately sold! With the help of Leoeventi’s founder Monica, the couple excitedly started to prepare for their wedding along the Italian Riviera.

This past July, the lovely couple headed to Italy for their wedding by the sea! The day before the event, Marie and Charlie met with Monica to complete the marriage documents required by Italian law. Because of Leoeventi’s expert assistance, this process was hassle-free for the couple!

On the morning of their big day, Marie got ready with one of Italy’s best hair and makeup artists, who was a vendor that came highly recommended by Leoventi. Getting glam while sipping champagne and laughing with her closet girls, Marie enjoyed a relaxed start to the day.

Next, Marie and Charlie made their way to their venue with their 10 guests. Seeing the Lerici Castle in person for the first time, the couple was amazed by its magical feel. Thanks to its stunning terrace that overlooks Lerici’s breathtaking bay, this castle was the perfect ceremony location.

While the Lerici Castle already exudes beauty, Marie and Charlie incorporated some special touches to make their wedding even more memorable. First, Marie and her bridesmaids had unique, colorful wildflower bouquets that served as bright pops of color.

Additionally, guests held chic parasols during the ceremony. Not only did they help the guests keep cool on the hot summer morning, but they also acted as lovely decorations and created a stylish garden atmosphere.

Finally, instead of going with a traditional wedding violinist, Marie and Charlie opted for a guitar player. Perfectly suited to their taste, the guitarist played songs that were meaningful to them.

With Monica as the interpreter, Marie and Charlie made their marriage official after exchanging sincere vows and signing the paperwork. As their guests tossed flower petals in the air, the newlyweds walked down the aisle overjoyed to be married!

Since Marie and Charlie wanted to make the most of their wedding, they decided to have an all-day celebration. After the morning ceremony was complete and the newlyweds finished taking photos around the Lerici Castle, everyone headed to the sea for an exquisite lunch. To keep the celebration going, Marie and Charlie later hosted an elegant dinner full of delicious food and laughter.

Thanks to Lerici’s blissful scenery, the presence of their beloved guests, and Leoeventi’s thoughtful assistance, Marie and Charlie’s Italian Riviera wedding far exceeded their expectations!
