Since their elopement was taking place in winter, we suggested incorporating the beautiful city of Siena into the experience. The couple stayed in a charming Airbnb in the heart of the city, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the authentic Tuscan atmosphere.

The morning began with the bride’s preparations, as a professional hair and makeup artist joined her at their accommodation. Once ready, we arranged a private transfer into Siena’s historic centre, where the photographer captured stunning portraits of the couple wandering through the city’s medieval streets.

Of course, no photo session in Siena would be complete without visiting the famous Piazza del Campo — one of Italy’s most beautiful squares and the heart of the city’s historic charm.

A Romantic Ceremony at San Galgano Abbey

After the photo session in Siena, the couple travelled about forty minutes through the Tuscan countryside with a private driver to reach the extraordinary setting of San Galgano Abbey.

This roofless medieval abbey is one of the most magical ceremony locations in Italy. With its dramatic stone walls open to the sky, it creates an atmosphere that feels both ancient and timeless — making a tuscany elopement at San Galgano Abbey an experience unlike anything else in the world.

The symbolic ceremony was officiated by Angela, a member of the Leo Eventi team, who also coordinated the entire day to ensure everything unfolded seamlessly. To make the moment even more emotional, the ceremony was accompanied by the melodious sound of a violin — creating an incredibly romantic atmosphere within the historic abbey walls.

Following their time at the abbey, the couple returned to Siena where we had arranged a romantic dinner in one of the city’s historic restaurants. There, they celebrated their wedding day with a traditional Tuscan dinner, enjoying the region’s famous cuisine paired with exceptional local wines — including the iconic Brunello.

It was the perfect ending to a day that beautifully combined romance, history and the authentic charm of Tuscany.
