The ideal period for an Amalfi Coast elopement runs from mid-March to the end of October. Spring (mid-March to early June) and early autumn (September and October) offer warm temperatures, stunning natural light and a more intimate atmosphere. We recommend avoiding mid-June to the end of August, when the heat is intense and the coast is at its most crowded.
Most international couples choose a symbolic ceremony — the most flexible option, with complete freedom in choosing the location and no legal paperwork required in Italy. A legally binding civil ceremony is also possible in authorized locations along the coast. 3. Plan the logistics. The Amalfi Coast is breathtaking, but its roads are narrow and winding, and parking is very limited. Positano in particular is a vertical village, built on steep cliffs with countless stairs. Private drivers, boat transfers and careful timing make all the difference on the day.
